The Butterfly Board is designed to facilitate a smooth, sheer free, assisted transfer from chair to chair/bed. It is ideal for bareskin transfers. The board has a looped padded slide sheet attached to it called a wing which is easily removable for washing or replacement purposes. The cut out's on each side of the Butterfly Board facilitate a transfer from a self-propelling wheelchair. Suitable weight capacity of the butterfly board is 130kg / 19stone.

The Butterfly Board is constructed from fibreglass making the board light yet rigid. The butterfly board has a high friction coating on the underside which helps keep the board in position for increased safety. The board weighs 1.35kgs. The wing is made of nylon/ polyurethane and has low friction properties on the inside and high friction properties on the outside.

Cleaning: The board can be wiped clean with soapy water/ alcohol/ disinfectant with a non abrasive cloth. The Wing can be wiped with soapy water or alcohol or machine washed at 80°c and cool tumble dry. Avoid using fabric softeners.
