We are proud to annouce that we are to install a ceiling track hoist in the New Shires, Leicester. An accessible toilet equiped with a hoist, changing facilities and grab railed toilet is being built. As we understand there will be a key fob access to prevent the equipment from being tampered with and to keep the toilets in top condition. Welcome news for disabled shoppers with hoisting needs. |

| 27/11/07 - Its Rudolph time again
Its that time of year again! It seems to come around so quick. We are helping Leicestershire Fire and Rescue again to collect money for their Rudolph fund charity, which donates to local childrens charities.
We will be helping them at a number of special schools throughout Leicestershire, we will be providing hoisting assistance to aid the children getting in and out of Santa's sleigh. I hope to have some photo's soon. |

Movement2 have a new member of the adminstration team. Maxine Seaton joins us to assist with handling sales,survey and servicing enquiries. Maxine has a number of years in field and office based sales this will enable us to maintain our speedy response times. |
| 12/02/07 - MDA alert regarding Invacare C800 ceiling track hoist
There has been an alert issued by the MDA regarding the Invacare C800 ceiling track hoist, Movement2 have not installed any of this equipment so our clients should not be worried, we are in the process of warning those with these hoists the we know of through our servicing contracts.
The MDA statement is as follows: "There is a risk of injury resulting from falls due to failures of the motor drive in C800 series. hoists manufactured between December 2000 and September 2005." There action advice is hown below:
- Identify Invacare C800 series ceiling track patient hoists with the following chassis. numbers: 3117, 3118, 3119, 3132 and 3143 to 5188.
- If the patient hoist is over 5 years old withdraw from service and arrange for a. replacement hoist.
- If the patient hoist is less than 5 years old contact Invacare to arrange for the motor. gearbox units to be replaced.
- Ensure all C800 series hoist users and maintenance staff are aware of the need for. maintenance and replacement as described in the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
- Report any further incidents to MHRA and Invacare UK Ltd.
